Winter Wonderland

I was lucky enough to spend the Christmas holidays back at my parents home in northern Wisconsin. To be totally honest, I'm not a huge fan of winter and cold. I don't really think I was a huge fan of it even when I was a kid, but I do love visiting my family. This was a little more exciting because 1) it actually wasn't terribly cold in the grand scheme of Wisconsin winters and 2) I got to experience winter in a whole new way with my almost 4 year old son who got to play in the snow this year!

It was so fun to watch him play and build a snowman... and a snowsnake- which if you know my son was a must.

I also couldn't resist a chance to take pictures in the snow and found the perfect models! My sister and brother-in-law got a mini shoot outside and it turned out so good! I love these pictures! Simple but so sweet!

Though, I won't concede to loving the snow, I will say that I loved this week with my family! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and is having a bright new year! Happy 2017!
