I am part of an amazing group down here called Hike it Baby. It is a national organization that is dedicated to getting outside with your kids. When we moved to Charleston, I was so scared of not knowing anyone and not having any friends. Well, thanks to this group, I have met some amazing other moms as friends and best of all it gets me and the kids outside (which helps tire them out). It's just been great. This week a couple of us went to check out one of the many plantations down here. They are so gorgeous!
My son loves to go on these walks with his friends. His favorite thing to do is find a stick and any water and pretend to go fishing. I mean what could be better than swamp mud?!?
This plantation has a petting zoo with deer, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, and a couple snakes. He of course would have preferred more snakes, but still had a great time!
